The New Town District of Prague is located on the eastern side of the Vltava River, directly south of the Old Town.
New Town was built around three historic market places: the Hay Market (Senovazne Square), Cattle Market (Charles Square) and the Horse Market (Wenceslas Square). It was established in 1348.
The town is home to some beautiful churches, monasteries, theatres, city squares and historic buildings.
